Bosch Dishwasher E15 Error – Surfers Paradise
A customer in Surfers Paradise contacted ISB Electrical because their Bosch dishwasher stopped working and displayed an E15 error. The drain pump continued running and the dishwasher would not start a normal wash cycle.
Bosch E15 usually means the anti-flood safety system has been activated. This happens when water leaks into the base tray of the dishwasher and lifts the float switch.
Inspection and Diagnosis
Our technician removed the lower access panels and inspected the dishwasher base. Water was present in the base tray, confirming that the flood protection system had activated.

- Checked hoses around the wash motor and sump
- Found a broken small hose between the wash motor and sump
- Checked for secondary leaks

Fault Found
The fault was caused by a broken small hose between the wash motor and sump. Water leaked from this hose into the dishwasher base tray, activating the flood switch and triggering the Bosch E15 error.
Repair Completed
The damaged hose was replaced and the leaked water was removed from the base tray. After the repair, the Bosch dishwasher was tested through filling, washing and draining stages.
The dishwasher operated normally, the E15 error cleared, and no further water leak was found during testing.
