During inspection, we found broken glass had become stuck in the drain pump impeller. The glass damaged and restricted the pump, causing the dishwasher to fail during the drain cycle.

Inspection and Diagnosis

• Found glass stuck in the drain pump impeller

• Confirmed drain pump was faulty

Fault Found

The fault was caused by broken glass stuck in the drain pump impeller. The impeller was damaged and the drain pump could not operate correctly.

Repair Required

Because the drain pump was faulty after the glass obstruction, the correct repair was to replace the drain pump assembly and clean the drain pump housing before testing the dishwasher again.
