Simpson Washing Machine Not Spinning – Carrara Repair

A customer in Carrara contacted ISB Electrical because their Simpson washing machine was not spinning. The machine was washing, but when it reached the spin cycle, the drum would not spin correctly and clothes remained wet.

Problem

The Simpson washing machine failed to enter proper spin operation. The customer noticed that the machine completed part of the wash cycle, but the final spin did not work and the load stayed very wet.

Diagnosis

After inspection, we checked the brake actuator motor, wiring, lid lock, motor circuit and main power control board. The fault was traced to the main power control board, which was not sending voltage to the brake actuator motor.

Repair

We confirmed the control board fault and advised the customer on the required repair. The brake actuator motor could not operate correctly because the main PCB was not providing the required voltage.
