Miele Dishwasher Leaking Water – Southport

A customer in Southport contacted ISB Electrical because their Miele dishwasher stopped operating and showed signs of water leakage. The drain pump continued running and the dishwasher would not start a normal wash cycle.

After inspection, we found water inside the base tray. This activated the Miele waterproof protection system and stopped the appliance from operating normally.

Inspection and Diagnosis

• Confirmed waterproof system was activated
• Checked dishwasher base tray for water
• Inspected internal feed pipes
• Found two cracked feed pipes
• Checked sump and drain pump area
• Checked for secondary leaks
• Tested dishwasher after repair

Fault Found

The fault was caused by two cracked internal feed pipes. Water leaked from the damaged pipes into the base tray and activated the waterproof system.

Once the base tray filled with water, the safety system prevented the dishwasher from continuing the wash cycle.

Repair Completed

The cracked feed pipes were replaced and the base tray was dried. The waterproof system was reset and the dishwasher was tested through filling, washing and draining stages.

After repair, the Miele dishwasher operated normally and no further water leak was detected during testing.
