A customer in Nerang contacted ISB Electrical because their Fisher & Paykel dishwasher stopped operating and displayed an F30 error code. The dishwasher would not start a wash cycle and continuously reported a fault condition.
After inspection we found water inside the dishwasher base tray which had activated the flood protection system.
The fault was caused by a broken hose between the upper spray arm assembly and the sump. During the wash cycle water escaped through the damaged hose and leaked into the dishwasher base tray.
Once water entered the base tray, the flood switch activated and the dishwasher displayed the F30 error.
The damaged hose was replaced and the base tray was dried. The flood switch was reset and the dishwasher was tested through multiple wash cycles.
After repair the dishwasher operated normally with no further water leaks detected.
F30 faults are commonly related to water leaks and activation of the flood protection system.
