Westinghouse Dishwasher Door Not Closing in Pimpama

Diagnosis
We inspected the door latch assembly, door strike, hinges, control system and door locking mechanism.
Testing was carried out to confirm whether the door lock switch was correctly detecting the closed position.
Fault Found
The door latch assembly had failed and was no longer locking the door correctly.
Because the dishwasher could not detect a secure door lock condition, the appliance would not allow the wash cycle to start.
Repair Carried Out
The faulty door latch assembly was replaced and the door alignment was checked.
After replacement, the dishwasher door closed and locked correctly. The appliance was tested through a complete cycle and operated normally.
