A customer in Pimpama contacted ISB Electrical because their Fisher & Paykel washing machine was not spinning properly. The machine completed the wash cycle, but clothes were left very wet at the end.

Problem

The washing machine washed normally but failed to spin at high speed. The drum either did not spin at all or stopped before completing the spin cycle.

Diagnosis

After inspection, we checked the motor, lid lock, suspension system and control board. The fault was related to the spin system, preventing the drum from reaching proper spin speed.

Repair

We diagnosed the cause of the spin issue and carried out the required repair. We replaced all shock absorbers and drain water pump. After testing, the washing machine completed full cycles and spun correctly, leaving clothes properly drained.
