A customer in Yarrabilba contacted ISB Electrical because one element on their Beko ceramic cooktop stopped working. The cooktop powered on normally, but one cooking zone would not heat at all.
One ceramic cooktop element was not heating while the rest of the cooktop worked correctly. This type of fault is common in ceramic cooktops and usually points to a failed heating element or electrical issue.
During inspection, we checked the heating element, wiring connections, switches and main control system. After testing, we found that the heating element had an open circuit caused by internal damage.
In some cases, faults like this can also be caused by damaged wiring, faulty energy regulators or control board issues, but in this job the fault was isolated to the element itself.
The faulty ceramic heating element was replaced. After installation, the cooktop was tested across all settings to ensure proper operation and safe performance.
The cooktop was restored to full working condition and all elements were heating evenly and correctly.
